The Armed Forces of the Philippines has operated the M101 105mm howitzer for decades, a trusted workhorse of the battlefield. But beyond the standard M101/23 calibre variant, the AFP also fields an upgraded version, the M101/30 105mm howitzer. The M101/30 features a longer barrel, a double-baffle muzzle brake, and a reinforced breech block capable of withstanding higher firing pressures. This allows it to launch extended-range projectiles significantly farther than the standard M101’s 23-caliber
